What You Need to Know About Give More 24!
In 2019, 4,391 people donated $1,657,241 to 169 Southwest Washington charities via Give More 24! But what is Give More 24!? It’s a 24-hour event by the Community Foundation Southwest Washington and powered by nonprofit online donation platform Give Gab. Organizations that are verified 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofits that are headquartered or provide services in Southwest Washington are invited to apply before the annual deadline. Although the application deadline for this year has passed, it’s still a great time for those in the nonprofit world to take a look, get involved in other ways, and get a good idea of what they can do next year.
This year will be the seventh annual day of Give More 24’s online giving event. Each year, the Community Foundation Southwest Washington aims to raise $1 Million or more for local charities in this 24-hour online giving marathon. The participants range from nonprofits for arts and culture, community improvement, education, environment, health, housing, hunger, social services, and youth development.
Mark your calendars because this year the event starts at 12:00 a.m. and ends at 11:59 p.m. on September 23rd, 2021
Give More 24! is presented by Davidson & Associates Insurance representing PEMCO Insurance. It is also backed by a collection of very generous Pacific NW companies. This makes it possible for participants to receive prize sponsorships during the event. The prizes available last year were more than a dozen $1,000 nonprofit prizes, a $72,000 stretch pool, and nearly $145,000 in matching gifts. In order for your nonprofit to receive these prizes, charitable contributions must be made through the Give More 24! website.
Give More 24! Is a full 24 hours where people can make a huge difference by visiting our page and making a donation of any amount. We have joined in on Give More 24 in past years, and the generous donations we received have gone to better our nonprofit’s programs. Last year’s generous donations allowed us to add more art classes, time out in nature, our first trip to the beach, and much more.
Although donations can not be made until Sept 23rd, 2021, we are currently collecting pledges as a way to contact those who would like to donate. When it comes to the day, all payment information is entered by the donor Once the donor selects a nonprofit and makes their charitable gift via the website’s secure donation form, the donation will be tallied in real-time so that everyone can watch dollars add up and cheer on their favorite cause. The website also allows users to tap their social networks and rally friends and family in giving to local organizations. Through the secure Give Gab website.
