Winter Sensory Activities | How to Make Snow Floam
There’s no business like snow business like no business I know. Had to do it because the song got stuck in our heads. Well, technically, didn’t have to, but discussed it and truly think that it adds a certain je ne sais quoi to this fabulous winter activity.
Floam slime is one of the most versatile sensory tools there is. As long as the slime texture is a-ok with the handler, you can add a whole variety of mix-ins. For this little winter number, we have mini styrofoam balls and icicle erasers.
To Make Snow Floam, You Will Need:
- 1 Large Mixing Bowl
- 1 Large Mixing Spoon
- 2 Bottles of Elmer’s White School Glue
- Mini Styrofoam Balls
- Mini Icycle Erasers or Other Non-Edible Mini Icicles
- Sta-flo Liquid Laundry Starch
How to Make Snow Floam
- Empty both bottles of Elmer’s glue into your mixing bowl.
- Mix in the mini styrofoam balls until they’re evenly distributed.
- Add 2 tablespoons of liquid starch. If you want it to be more slime-like than this, you can always add a tiny bit more liquid starch here.
- Once everything is well mixed, take the snow floam and place it on a clear kitchen counter.
- Fold in your icicles.
- That’s it!
- You can store the floam in a jar, tupperware tub, play dough container or other container with a lid.
