- Food Coloring or thick felt tip pens (any and all colors!)

- Rubber or plastic gloves
- A place to put the colorful eggs as they dry (the egg crate or a glass casserole dish will work wonders!)
Instructions
Prep
- Bring a pot of water to a rolling boil. Take the heat down to low. Gently add your eggs and cook for 8 to 10 minutes.
- Gently remove the eggs with a spoon.
- Lay them out to cool down.
- Once cool, wrap each egg in a piece of kitchen towel.
- Secure the kitchen towel, onto each egg, using an elastic band (or hair tie).
- You’ll want to make sure that the kitchen towel is tight against the egg.
- Get your casserole dish or drying area out and ready.

Decorating — now for the really fun part!
- Take your felt tip pens or your food colorings and start to color in the kitchen paper (splotches of different colors work best). Make sure to leave some uncolored paper surrounding each splotch because they’ll need room to merge once we’ve done the next stage.
- Wearing your gloves hold the egg in one hand, and spray bottle in the other.
- Give the uncolored paper (the paper between the splotches) on each egg a spritz of water.
- Gently squeeze the eggs over the sink, making sure not to crack the eggs but to add enough pressure to get the colors to come together.
- Lay your masterpieces out in the empty egg carton or casserole dish.
- Leave to dry overnight. If you happen to live in a very warm area, your eggs may dry a lot sooner.
- Once dry, you can go ahead and unwrap them!
- Now that you have your colorful Easter eggs, you can put them in a bowl to display them.
