How To Make Christmas Tree Cones

Making Christmas tree cones is like making a gingerbread house but far less laborious. It’s also 1/100th of the cleanup. The ingredients for this edible craft can also be prepped beforehand by either sorting them into ramekins or a craft sorting plate and setting them aside for whenever you’re ready. The icing also comes premade, although you can always make your own buttercream icing and add green dye.

To Make Christmas Tree Cones, You Will Need:

  • 1 Can of Premade Green Cake Frosting
  • 1 Ice Cream Sugar Cone
  • Red and Green Sprinkles
  • Gold Star Sprinkles
  • Icicle sprinkles
  • Pull ‘n Peel Twizzlers
  • Mini Red & Green M&Ms
  • A Plate
  • Napkins
  • 1 Plastic Knife

Instructions

  1. Place all of your ingredients out on the table (but still in their containers 😄).
  2. Set out your plate.
  3. Flip your ice cream cone and place it in the middle of the plate.
  4. Cover your ice cream cone head-to-toe in the green icing. No need for this to be perfectly smooth–messier is better because it looks more realistic!
  5. Peel single strings off of your Pull ‘n Peel Twizzlers and spiral it up and around the icing covered cone. The next steps can be done in any order!
  6. Push some red and green mini M&Ms onto your tree in a random or in a systematic way.
  7. Add some icicle sprinkles.
  8. Add some red and green sprinkles.
  9. Either cover the tree in stars or add just one to the top.
  10. Now you’re free to keep it as a temporary decoration or eat it! Your choice!! 😊
